The CAVCaM visualization and computing faculty are members of all three divisions, but who specialize in scientific visualization and virtual reality, and who work with researchers in all the divisions to help formulate visualizations from their data.
CAVCaM has a number of students in the graduate program at UNR who have a research appointment at DRI. Students primarily come from the field of computer graphics, and work to bring new visualization techniques and programs into the immersive displays.
